'And the poet jumped'

Yesterday I performed my idea for a new action in my backyard. I finally had all the materials together; especially the typing machine was quite an effort to obtain. It was all worth it though; the machine is beautiful! I had to fix it a little bit, but now it works! I can't wait to start using it for my personal writings. It's really old as well; from 1937, according to a source on the internet. I went al the way to Geldermalsen to buy it from a nice woman that inherited it from her grandfather, and didn't know what to do with it...
It's strange how things that no one else seems to want, can make me very happy; as long as it's about products that are old, solid (made of wood or metal, no plastic) and mechanical, there's a big chance that I'll like it! Just lóók at it:

Here I have some pics of the preparations I had to make, before I could start the performance. I was very grateful for the nice sunlight I had, on a saturday in October!

These pictures show the finished selfmade small reservoir for water, with the typing machine in it, slowly filling up with water. These two pics are already strong
visuals on its own, in my opinion. Though for me it's about the performance, of which you'll find a video registration further on in this blog message.

I posted two video-registration of the performance. I still don't know if I want to choose between them, or if I want them keep them both. I'm also doubting about cutting a piece of the midsection out; I think it takes a bit too long there..
But it's hard to do it without noticing the cut, while the sunlight changes really fast and is not even for a minute the same..
