Re(née's) search

Mijn foto
Renée Verberne
My fascination for environment and my longing to be in the wild nature, to answer to my inner (childlike) drives, are the basic principles for my work. Through art I (re)search these inner drives, express them and am able to relate to the world that surrounds me. I investigate my personal way of living and the boundaries of my life. But my work might raise questions like: Is what I do, the place I live and the way I lead my life, in accordance with my inner feelings? What's the true essence of my existence? What do I feel, do I sense my body, what are my natural, inner drives and longings? Am I solidary with my environment, with our planet? I collect old, used and natural materials, with a passion for ecostems & biospheres, shapes & colours of nature, perpetuum mobilae, searches/expeditions/ pilgrimages, pure & mindfull ways of living, autarchy, cradle-to-cradle/earthships/building, meditation, poetry, music , philosophy, the cosmos, rituals, ancient cultures and much more. Films: Tideland, Forrest Gump, Where the wild thing are, Dances with wolves, Pieds nus, Antichrist
