Opposites attract

Serieel Beeld, Opposites attract.

A series of contrasting images, that in some sort of way connect: our mind always connects, even if the images don't fit together...Our mind makes its own story of images everytime it sees some together, doesn't it?

For this assignment I was inspired by my personal experience with Anorexia. I think you should know this, to understand my work. The artwork consists of 8 not relating images. But to me actually each image has a story to tell, and reminds me of that period in my life.

You can also see that the images next to eachother have some shapes in common, which I connected through the edge of each painting.

First you'll see every painting seperately, I photographed them just after I finished painting them. Finally there's a photo of all the works together, they're suppose to hang vertically on a wall; this way the line that separates the images, forms a very thin woman...
